Most of the money spent on products provided by the beauty industry and most of the time spent grooming/preening is a colossal waste (and not because looking good isn't important; it is, even if it shouldn't be). Other than exercise, dieting, and/or plastic surgery, there's (usually) not much any of us can do to improve the way we look.
