Yah, works for tenured profs, I am sure. (I speak as a
decidedly ex nontentured serf.) Actuslly some law
firms run this way for partners. Not JD (my firm. we
are a tyranny in the Greek sense, interviewing
partners described the mgt structure as a benevolent
dictatorship.
