Thanks to all who wrote on and off list suggesting toponyms. I only needed a dozen or so, but I knew there had to be more than I could think of!

Also, thanks for suggestions on how to translate "I used to walk 5 miles to school..." into something more tech-contemporary.

Trivia I discovered: Linares, Hasting, Zurich, Cairo, New York, Chicago, Monaco, Geneva were the names given to the original bitmap fonts for the Mac. They were designed for easier screen reading.
