I'm glad someone else read this. I read it about 20 years ago, just after RR got elected and the darkness started to descend and found it a remarkably useful (and interesting) source book. If nothing else it gave you a useful road map for knowing the enemy, and making clear what a bunch of dimbulb, racist, fuckwits the 'neocons' who emerged in the 80's where.

I still have my copy somewhere, and if the new edition is half as good as the first, it's worth getting.
