I keep saying this, and I'll say it again - nationalist development policies, which many lefties hold up as models, all too often come with a lot of ugly baggage, like this. I'd say it's almost inseparable from nationalism. Note that the book being circulated was Ford's The *International* Jew. Can't trust those rootless cosmopolitans, can you?
