Some years ago there was a WSJ feature based on interviews with the
children of CEOs. The overwhelming number of them thoroughly enjoyed
their money and perquisites and were very happy.
The virus at the center of all working-class lives (even the highest
paid and most educated with the most enjoyable jobs) is the domination
of time: the shift of reality from present to future.
Real (big) wealth shifts reality back to the present.
