And yeah that was the radio edit i think for the lyrics the alternate edit is even better but i don't own it so i can only recollect/guess but i remember i love the additional lines in the longer version (from memory) something like:

Like a dog lyin in the corner He'll bight you he'll never warn you, Look out [something] 'Cause everybody hates a tourist, Especially one who thinks it's all such a laugh Yeah [something] come out in the back/bath [not sure] And you'll never understand how it feels to live your life With no meaning or control, and with nowhere left to go. You are amazed that they exist [something] And they burn so bright [something] You can only wonder [something]

...and then back to the short version I think.

I do, finally, have a computer of my own, but I haven't really collected stuff on here, and Pulp is mostly in my office, not here.

oh god which reminds me, remember the abortive IP discussion?

well I'm trapped in this crisis over IP right now, based on a music case.

Sony et al. are suing my university for not sufficiently protecting their copyright and my place is very ... difficult ... because I teach a lot of popular music which is what they are trying to protect their rights in. and it's all a mess -- additionally because how am I supposed to teach media/popular culture without music (which I always teach) and how am I supposed to teach music without technically infringing their IP? Part of the problem appears to be that they don't really give a shit whether I teach it or not, and I'd be in a far better position if I could convince them that me teaching hiphop was good for them (interesting the punk-owning people don't seem to care). anyway, my employer doesn't care, in fact they want me to teach it if students want it (one income {though nto quite profit} motive), and they do support my claims that i should be able to, but they see no reason to invest huge amounts of money in a risk of that kind. anyway -- i guess it's all, what is it, "interesting"?
