I wasn't aware that the Oscars were supposed to represent a moral judgment on people's lives. I though they were supposed to reflect Hollywood's perception of artistic attainment. I thought The Pianist was great, btw; I've generally liked Polanski's work. As far as ethics goes, I like some of Charleton Heston's (Touch of Evil) and John Wayne's (The Searchers) work too. jks
