Jeet and y'all, in case you haven't read these texts, mostly from academic rightists on the Old and New Right, as source material, dig in.

George Nash volume just re-issued from ISI on the rise of the conservative intelligentsia with great sketches of figures like Willamore Kendall, Leo Strauss, Russell Kirk(who lambasted the neo-cons at the Philadelphia Society meetings), James Burnham, Will Herberg, is a very good read.

"In Search of Anti-Semitism, " is the WFB edited collection on the contro over Sobran which erupted after he praised a neo-Nazi publication called Instauration.

"A Time For Choosing: The Rise of Modern American Conservatism, " by Jonathan Schoenwald, Oxford Univ. Press, 2001, looks very solid.

Justin Raimondo has a book about a decade old now on the Old Right with chapters on such charcters as the Chicago Tribune publisher that only Carrol or Justin know who I'm alluding to. Col. McCormick?

Aw crap, time is running out on the terminal here at the libary... Michael Pugliese P.S. And Chronicles magazine out of Illinois. Fasinating read always, the house organ of the paleos. P.P.S. Frum always annoys me loads on the, "Left, Right and Center, " public radio show with Robert Scheer and Arianna Huffington.
