Speaking of which...of course they figured out how to grow penises in petri dishes, it lacked the nerves that make masturbation productive.

But now the sciency types figured out how to regenerate those nerves...they hope they can combine the two technologies someday....

An advancement in tissue engineering that allows researchers to regenerate penis nerves might help men with severe impotency someday regain sexual function.

Severe impotency can result from such things as trauma, surgery, cancer, congenital malformations and other conditions.

At an American Urological Association meeting in Chicago, researchers from Children's Hospital Boston report that implantation of engineered tissue made of collagen can help nerves regenerate in the penis.

Although the body of the penis can be grown in the lab using smooth muscle cells, the organ needs a network of nerves in order to achieve erection and function sexually. ...more at link above.. --- Sent from UnionMail Service [http://mail.union.org.za]
