The only semi-radical reform this country experienced, the New Deal, has been dismantlend and reversed.

Mumph. There was Radical Reconstruction, which was also reversed. But then there was the Civil Rights revolution, which hasn't been reversed. Yeah, it's incomplete. But it makes a big difference that state run segregation is illegal, that it's unlwaful to fire someone because she's black or a woman, or over 40 or disabled, that blacks can vote in South, etc.
