YWCA hires lesbian feminist as leader
"We fear the focus will now become homosexual indoctrination among young girls." - Don Wildmon
The Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) has just hired Patricia Ireland to become the chief executive officer of the girl's organization. Ireland is the former leader of the National Organization for Women (NOW), a radical feminist group that is pro-abortion and pro-homosexual.
Patricia Ireland is also an admitted bisexual who has had a husband living in Florida and a female homosexual "partner" in Washington, DC. In her biography, What Women Want, she wrote: "I have a husband, and he is very important in my life. I also have a companion, and she is very important in my life, too."
"We fear the focus will now become homosexual indoctrination among young girls," says Don Wildmom, Chairman of <http://www.afa.net>American Family Association (AFA). "Ireland has a long history of promoting a radical agenda and will not hesitate to incorporate her left-wing values into the mission."
Wildmon says the YWCA made a concious decision in hiring Ireland and wants parents to be aware of the organization's dangerous direction. "Lesbianism, cross-dressing, and abortion are all part of Ireland's history. It will soon become YWCA's present."
According to <http://www.traditionalvalues.org>Traditional Values Coalition, Patricia Ireland is not a role model most parents would approve of:
Ireland is listed as a member of the Board of Directors of <http://www.gpac.org>GenderPac, a transgender organization that promotes sex change operations and cross-dressing for teenagers! GenderPac is run by a male-to-female transgender named Riki Wilchins. Wilchins is author of Read My Lips: Sexual Subversion & The End Of Gender.
GenderPac has just announced that it has joined forces with the homosexual group <http://www.hrc.org>Human Rights Campaign (HRC) to work for special legal protections for cross-dressers, drag queens, transsexuals, and even shemales (who maintain both female and male physical characteristics.)
HRC was a sponsor in 2002 of a <http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=26487>"True Spirit Conference" promoting transgenderism. At this conference, workshops were held to teach teenage girls how to have their breasts removed in order to have "sex change" operations.
In 2001, as head of NOW, Ireland helped co-sponsor a GenderPac "National Conference on Gender" in Washington, DC. Ireland gave the keynote speech at this meeting of drag queens, transsexuals, and cross-dressers!
