[lbo-talk] A Green Would Like Some Advice/Comments

Speaking as a non-economist (but an interested layman
and a working person seeking to understand economic
policies) I think these sound like solid proposals.

The core idea, of using taxation and other intruments
as a means of funding the common wealth, is admirable
and not, theoretically, beyond reach.

However, as Doug said, the greatest challenge will be
the inevitable effort by the usual suspects to
discredit it all as a threat to the interests of
average folks.

'Jobs will be loss, businesses will flee,' and all the
rest of the standard propaganda fare will be offered -
particularly if you manage to get a reasonably fair
hearing.

Your group had best prepare counter arguments to these
scare tactics in advance.
