The May 21st program (Real Audio required) features both Amy Goodman's interview with Hedges as well as audio from his attempt to give a commencement address at Rockford College in Illinois.
It's quite remarkable.
As he begins speaking, the crowd, slowly at first, then with increasing ferocity, shouts him down, blows air horns, demands to know where he was on 9-11, chants USA, USA, and generally behaves in a way that can, perhaps, best be described as a sort of hysteria.
And that's just a small sampling.
America, to these folks, is more religion than nation state it seems.
