I consider myself a patriot, and I think it's a dumb
statement, meaningless really. I don't know the
measure of relative excellence for countries. Neither
does Chomsky. There isn't one. I love this land
because it's mine, its where I was raised and know the
people, the language, and the history. Sweden might be
a better place to live, but I'd be a foreigner there.
Like Brian, I think you have to write this off to
Homer nodding. Even Choamsky's entitled to slip.
