Yep, right on cue.

And what are the carabinieri doing in Iraq anyway?

"Denmark's defense minister decided not to bolster the 410-strong force it already has in Iraq, rejecting a push by two Danish soldiers unions to send 100 more troops."

What kind of a "union" is this, that wants to put _more_ of its members in danger? Oh, 100 more targets will fix everything..

Koizumi's having to wipe a lot of bloody salami off his face in prep for a visit by gangster Rummy. He's had to change the post-election script - tsugou ga warui desu ne..

Check out the AP Photo of Japanese troops standing with THE OLD IMPERIAL BATTLE FLAG. Too bad the Germans didn't join in on the fun - they could have flown their old Nazi battle flag, too, just to make it perfectly clear what Iraq is really all about.

"But Fukuda told reporters later Japan would "shortly" send a fact-finding mission, involving some 10 members of the defence forces, to Iraq to gauge the "fast-moving" situation there."

"They may discuss in detail how (Japanese troops) will be received. We need information from various angles."

Well, we already how they'll be recieved: as the beef tataki entree to the whole bloody smorgasborg.
