I think enough people in the US either know "Workers of the World Unite!" is an old commie slogan or associate it with ponderous Soviet era parades that this just might not fly. Plus whatever the US mythos is, it includes both "we are / we COULD be rich." and "we're not commies" (and what the hell did we "win" the Cold war for if we're going to turn around and recycle the Commies' old slogan????)

Plus, one doesn't have to be a rabid partisan of neoliberalism or of Harvard privatization / "economic transformation" schemes to note that the US is, comparatively, a VERY rich country. The wealth distribution within country is terrible of course, but in the global scheme of things, I think a lot of workers in the US understand viscerally that "Workers of the World Unite" might NOT wind up being to their benefit.

My general reflex about MANY slogans is "What do we want? Better Slogans! When to we want them? Now!" This reflex is universal enough probably to put me out of the sound bite biz forever, but as sound bites go I actually really LIKE "Another world is possible" precisely BECAUSE it's vague but positive!

Plus, to the extent that there is already more than enough violence, oppression, exploitation, inequality, suffering and general unpleasantness in the world, "Another World is Possible" also resonates with non-violent successes and search for ways to lessen rather than further increase any of these situations.
