He was, and still is, a wonderful person and a true visionary, but he
had little, possibly no understanding of where his people were at...his
arguments for democracy were great, but hardly anyone in the soviet
union could possibly interpret his words into actions...

 a sad, and common case of what happens when people become totally
enamored with theory entertained by  a handful of folks who have time to
sit around and think, and have little or no understanding of practical,
material reality as it is lived by almost everyone else...
