The following remark from Boot's NYT piece seems a mite fishy to me:

"Our military ... is court-martialing an Army lieutenant colonel who fired his 
pistol into the air to scare an Iraqi suspect into divulging details of an 
imminent attack...."

Anyone have the scoop on this tidbit?
