Brian Siano writes:

"Someday, machines will attain a level of intelligence similar to man's. They will develop their own culture, their own values, and their own history-- especially after they start to uncover videotapes of old _Battlebots_ episodes.

Can you imagine how _loud_ their version of _Spartacus_ will be?"

If intelligence = intellect(computing power) + passion(love)

then machines can never do anything more than multiply their computing power. Consciousness is not a function of computing power...no matter how powerful or fast that power becomes.

This discussion would greatly benefit if those who engaged in it really understood how computers actually work...all the way down to the registers.
