Marx had this topic (the social psychology of individual capitalists)
nailed.  Their defining worldview is "Apres moi, le deluge!"  It's a stupid
and selfish system, and, for all its scale and scope, it still ultimately
rests on the stupidity and selfishness of individual investors.
