Nevertheless, I don't buy one iota of the idea that "left versus right" has become meaningless. Cockburn is wrong on that, if he really means it. Sure, the left is tiny and mostly hidebound. Yes, decent folks have been selling out in droves. But that doesn't mean mean "left" is rendered meaningless. "Left" means opponents of the rule of profit. "Right" means proponents of the rule of profit. Quite simple, quite true, even/especially today.
