Within recognized and accepted boundaries, of course, and usually along class lines. High schools have student elections which, supposedly, prepare the young for the Real Thing. How many student prez candidates come from poor or working class families, or who call attention to the rigidity of the process and suggest, say, an anarcho-syndicalist alternative? I wouldn't be surprised if it happened here and there, but it's certainly not something a thriving capitalist society is itching to see.
