Here's the key quote on what Dean's "transforming":

"Dean is showing how the Democratic Party can become 'a party that can
transcend our interest groups, and that a candidate can get elected
without owing anyone anything,' Rosenberg said."

As Doug notes, Dean stands for standing for nothing.  If he somehow gets
elected, he will sell all his small-time backers down the river as quickly
as Clinton did.  Alas, he'll never get elected, because, once he has to
debate Bush, he'll turn pro-war and start arguing for a kinder, gentler
empire.  Just you watch...
