Economist Robert Pollin is one of the country's leading authorities on living wage policies and the co-author of The Living Wage: Building a Fair Economy. He is the founding co-director of the Political Economy Research Institute (PERI) at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and has worked with the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress and the United Nations Development Program. He served as economic spokesperson for the 1992 presidential campaign of former California Governor Jerry Brown.
