I would agree with this, with the proviso that here Socrates makes a good point concerning the necessity of carving at the joints rather than breaking the bones. Without having studied the various positions too closely, my suspicion is that in this and related threads (grouped, roughly, around discussions of this or that aspect of "culture") a good deal of bone-breaking is going on. No one I believe has responded to my query as to what are the various senses in which we use the word, "culture," and hence what are the (abstractable) features of human experience we are focusing on in a given thread. Otherwise the discussion can resemble one based (say) on 3-inch diameter semi-spherical objects with a high-lead content owned by girls 3 to 9 years old.
