I know it exists but those are pretty specialized fora
dont you think? If by left you mean campus activists,
unions and so on around the whole US, the comparison
is stark in terms of numbers. The other people to whom
I refer would probably never read your work or care
about James Grant or Steven Roach in the first place.
My experience in the National Lawyers Guild and many
other progressive groups has been this; most didnt
know or care enough even about economics in the first
place, much less fatalism & Trotsky etc. I imagine you
would attract precisely the audience that is most like
that which you criticise.

radio shows. And there's also the left affinity for
various Wall Street permabears; on this list, for
example, people cite the Prudent Bear. I've been
writing about economics publicly since 1986, and I
