Ankara has reportedly delivered a protest to Israel over alleged purchases of oil fields from Kurds in northern Iraq.

The Foreign Ministry is said to have yesterday summoned Israeli Ambassador to Ankara Pini Avivi to convey its concern over the matter and to call on Israel to bring such purchases to an end. -----------------------------------------------------------------

DAMASCUS (AA) - Turkey is monitoring Israel's following properties in north of Iraq of its citizens who migrated from there to Israel. Sources said on Saturday that there were nearly 150,000 migrants of Kurdish origin coming from the north of Iraq in Israel and recalled that following properties of people who migrated to Israel was a government policy in this country.

Stating that Israel could make housing control in north of Iraq, sources evaluated it as formation of an Israeli-Kurdish interest partnership.

The same sources said that as long as it complied with international law, partnership was not turned into a lasting coalition, it did not have a separatist characteristic and it did not spoil demographic structure; it would not cause any concern in regional countries and Turkey.

Sources said that Israel's interest in formation of cooperation with circles which were not Arabs in the Middle East was natural and added that they did not have any information about purchasing land from Turkey.
