A Banker and a Coffin Maker for Mayor
A billionaire banker, an ultranationalist and a coffin magnate intend to challenge Yury Luzhkov in Moscow's mayoral election on Dec. 7, but their chances of toppling the popular Moscow mayor appear to be slim.
National Reserve Bank president Alexander Lebedev; Alexei Mitrofanov, an outspoken member of the ultranationalist Liberal Democratic Party of Russia; and German Sterligov, the head of the Sterligov Brothers Coffin Co., are the first three people to announce plans to run against Luzhkov.

In addition, he said, he would improve the lives of Muscovites in 500 days or resign and pay for a new election out of his own pocket.

Not only will Luzhkov be re-lection for the second, but be allowed for a fouth term.
