I think PK's "Argentinian crisis" scenario ignores the fact that the US$ is used as the world currency (unlike the Argentine peso). More profoundly, it ignores US military and financial dominance and the persistence of the competitive strength of the US economy. A crisis of too much US federal debt, maybe, but not of as big as that in Argentina.
