Walking the 125 miles from my house to my brothers would probably suck and take two days. While I can and have ridden my bike there that still takes almost 6 hrs. The fact that public transportation has its problems with reinforcing class differences is obviously an artifact of the currently existing conditions and not inherent in the technology itself.
