a religion centers on assertions of faith (as when an atheist asserts that there is no god) that go beyond working hypotheses that are treated sceptically, to be tested empirically, logically, etc.

for my purposes, I'm the one who decides what's a religion and what isn't. Of course, I may be wrong.
