Writing shortly after his arrest, Ames compared Khodorkovsky to a pimply geek working in a coffee ship who had somehow managed to become a rock star, moving through teh snotty asshole phase, the "I know everything" phase, and the Bono-esque self-designated savior of the world phase. Maybe this is the Betty Ford clinic crash and burn phase? :)
