EX RIPS MARTHA JUROR By MARIANNE GARVEY and WILLIAM NEUMAN

The ex-girlfriend of the Martha Stewart (news - web sites) juror who said her convicti on was "a victory for the little guy" says he's a woman hater who shouldn't be judging anybody.

"He used to tell me he thought women were below him," Chappell Hartridge's ex-girlfriend, Gail Outlaw, told The Post.

Stewart's lawyers are arguing that the disgraced domestic diva's perjury conviction should be overturned because Hartridge lied his way onto her jury by claiming he'd never been arrested.

"Meanwhile, the last time I saw him, he was being dragged out of this building by cops, wearing cuffs," Outlaw said.

Outlaw met Hartridge in a Manhattan bar in 1997, and they dated for four months. She said the relationship ended when he got physically abusive and she called cops.

"He choked me, he grabbed me, he threatened me," she said.

The case was dropped and later sealed. Outlaw said she never pressed charges because she "just wanted to move on."

The now-married Outlaw said she was stunned when she saw her ex on TV. "I saw him saying he knew Martha was guilty," she said. "How can he judge someone?"

She said that weeks later, Stewart's investigators knocked on her door with a copy of her police complaint, and now Hartridge has "started calling me again."

Hartridge could not be reached for comment.

Despite the revelations, legal experts predict Stewart will have trouble getting any convictions tossed.

"It's an interesting approach but it has little or no chance," said lawyer Murray Richman.

Legal ace Benjamin Brafman said, "It would be very unusual for the court to set aside a jury verdict," but "if you find the juror lied for the purpose of getting on the jury to convict Martha Stewart . . . you have a serious issue."

Lawyer, Andrew Schapiro, said prosecutors could have a tough time standing by Hartridge.

"They're supposed to be upholding the principle that everyone should be telling the truth," he said. "That was the whole theme of this prosecution."
