>Kerry would become the enemy on Nov 3.

Kerry is an enemy, just as Bush is, before and after November 3: "Kerry & Pelosi Support Bush to Finish Mission in Iraq," <http://mailman.lbo-talk.org/pipermail/lbo-talk/Week-of-Mon-20040329/007332.html>. It makes no sense to pretend otherwise.

>I've said a million times that Kerry represents imperialism as
>usual, which would be an improvement over the manic variant we've
>got now, but would still be imperialism.

You have presented no evidence that Kerry's imperialism will be less aggressive than Bush's -- you merely offer your wishful thinking. If anything, Kerry has been running to the right of Bush on Cuba and Iraq and even Venezuela, spurning an olive branch offered by Chavez: "Kerry's Disturbing Signals," <http://mailman.lbo-talk.org/pipermail/lbo-talk/Week-of-Mon-20040329/007207.html>.

To repeat, I haven't heard you make any counter-arguments to prove Paul Felton's arguments wrong, and I have yet to hear you explain why voters in New York, Texas, and other one-party states need to vote for John Kerry, since the presidential election's victor is determined by the electoral college, not by the popular vote. You've fulfilled my expectation that you have no argument or explanation.

>Imagine how much more difficult it might be in a large, heterogenous country.

It is difficult, but it is necessary.

>And like I said before, it's not for me. I don't have the time or
>the temperament, and it would undermine my credibility as a
>journalist to be a party functionary. But there are many people in
>the world. That's what a division of labor is good for. My strength
>is in political/economic analysis and it semi-popularization. Other
>people are good at organizing and polemicizing.

One of the obstacles for third-party organizing in particular or any other political organizing for that matter is a free rider problem. -- Yoshie
