I, too, am one of those politically left-radical folks who would love to be
able to make a living in media, especially radio, that I can not only live
with but actually be passionate about.   And there are lots of us, all over,
with the talent, skills, and experience.   Many are exiles from the
mainstream:   I hung on in commercial music radio long after my soul had
begun to corrode, due to personal problems and short-comings, truthfully;
but my love of "doing" radio is as alive as it was when it first caught fire
with me at the age of 17.    I'm not employed at all right now but I'm
hoping to sometime soon have the income to launch my own show on the
Internet, and the stability to be a regular volunteer at WMNF-FM in Tampa,
absolutely the best community radio station I have ever heard and quite
possibly the best in the nation.
