Not good enough. I had it explained to me by a visiting marine force Sergeant twenty years ago, "We should have nuked 'em," he told me. (I'll never forget that conversation, which opened my eyes to the mentality involved.)

But "you" just weren't willing to do that and "you" aren't willing to nuke Fallujah. Neither are "you" willing to die like flies doing it the hard way. They are, they have the same mentality as that marine I met, the life is cheap mentality.

(Though it is being charitable to the marine, since he was only implying that it was OK to kill other people like flies, while the defenders of Fallujah are willing to themselves die like flies. The morality of the two positions are hardly comparable. )
