All US identity-group "progress" has proved a distraction from the fact that the system itself has to be changed in a very fundamental way. The US is a heavily armed nation in a state of virtually psychotic hostility toward the rest of the world. Given that commanding fact, it is solipsistic to focus on gains that various demographic groups have made within the US.
