Sounds not unlike that celebrated windbag Samuel Johnson:  "Sir, that all 
who are happy, are equally happy, is not true. A peasant and a philosopher 
may be equally satisfied, but not equally happy. Happiness consists in the 
multiplicity of agreeable consciousness."
