I admire "Democracy Now" as well, but I think that Goodman is an outright terrible interviewer no matter who she's interviewing. The problem is that the U.S. broadcasters who know how to shut up and let their subjects talk won't ask tough questions (her O'Reilly interview notwithstanding, Terry Gross is one of these), and the ones who will ask tough questions (which Goodman will) don't know how to shut up and let their subjects talk. You really only need listen to CBC's "As It Happens" to discover just how much we're missing.
