[lbo-talk] Dollar-store economy

There's been talk on the list about the sucess of
Wal-Mart and how that reflects the economy, culture of
various regions, etc.

But has anyone else noticed the phenomenal growth in
dollar stores, or is it just in my area? In the past
few years I've noticed moe dollar stores popping up
than any sort of outlet. Have also seen franchise
offers and "Own your own dollar store" advertisements
here and there.
