The economy grew 7% year-on-year in July, the ministry said.
GDP grew 7.5% year-on-year in January-July 2003 and 6.4% in July.
"Average monthly growth was faster at 0.8% in the second quarter compared with the first quarter, which was 0.3%, but starting in May, the rate of growth adjusted for the seasonal factor slowed on a month- by-month basis and was 0.5% in July. The trend was set mostly by a reduction of growth in industry, construction and investment. It was only partially offset by faster growth in agriculture and favorable foreign economic trends," the ministry said.
The economy ministry said GDP could grow 6.9% in 2003, compared with 7.3% in 2003, and industrial output 6.9% compared with 7%.
