It was sad to see how Webb was taken down.  The SJ Mercury first boasted about the 
story & then attacked Webb, who then became seen as a conspiracy theorist by many, 
even though, as Carol mentioned, he was mostly proven to be correct.  Seymour Hersh 
seems to be the only one who can successfully rattle cages -- and even he would 
probably not be welcome in any of the elite centers of journalism.
