Bear in mind too that this HTML format is an easy way to validate your email address. If they have any graphics in there, often times it is a unique link to it, and if it is downloaded to your email, it shows that your email account is active and you open yourself up to more spam. If at all possible, turn off graphics if you use preview mode for your emails.
