Domestic car sales rise 21% in Nov

India's domestic passenger car sales rose 21.2 per cent in November as rising incomes and attractive finance schemes fuelled demand in Asia's fourth-largest economy.
Industry data out on Tuesday showed that car sales in November rose to 70,465 units from 58,156 in the same month a year ago.
Sales in April-November, the first eight months of the business year, rose 22.2 per cent to 530,094 units from 433,828 a year earlier, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said in a statement.
Sales of commercial vehicles, or trucks and buses combined, rose 21.2 per cent to 26,544 units from 21,910 last November. Sales in April-November jumped 26.4 per cent to 193,818 units from 153,348 a year earlier.
Motorcycle sales in November increased 27.1 per cent to 479,212 units from 377,094 in 2003, SIAM said. Sales in April-November were up 15.4 per cent to 3,207,515 units from 2,779,806.
