[lbo-talk] Susan Sontag dead

I learned about Sontag from a small group of Polish political alternative/political activists in the earily 80s - I was in may early 20s then. In Poland and in English, I read many of her essays. Her fiction never interested me, her cultural-political commentary always blew me away. Make no mistake, individuals like Sontag have influenced change in the post-Soviet space - Western op-ed pages have not.
