Actually there is homosexuality all over Russian TV. Boris Moiseyev is about 
as camp as you can get, and Philip Kirkorov has a certain, ahem, "quality" 
that is pretty visible. Zemfira is supposedly bisexual. Tatu. Vitas is 
pretty ambiguous. (These are all pop stars.) I believe the name "Butch" 
speaks for itself. Russian music videos show (invariably beautiful 
model-type) women kissing each other all the time. E.g.:
