Well the eloquence level just keeps getting higher & higher doesn't it? I am myself, "Trembling with excitement" - WHERE will it stop???!!!

1) Mr. Mike Larkin cites: "Today's blasts claimed the lives of women and children as well as men, a spokeswoman for the authority told wire services." http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A50372-2004Feb18.html "

My version of the WPost showed a neat little animated cartoon for the Homelands security. Did yours Mr. Larkin? Did you consider the phrasing below, found in that text: "The U.S. spokeswoman put the death toll at 11. Polish Gen. Mieczyslaw Bieniek told the AP that the blasts that followed wounded 44 Iraqis and 58 coalition troops. Bieniek called it a "well coordinated terrorist attack." Hungarian Defense Ministry Spokesman Istvan Bocskai said two of the 10 Hungarian soldiers were seriously wounded, but the injuries weren't life threatening. Poland leads a multinational force of about 9,500 soldiers in south-central Iraq. Its troops also fought in the U.S.-led war that began March 20 to oust Saddam Hussein. Hungary has 300 troops in Iraq providing logistical support and humanitarian aid. A Polish officer was killed in November 2003, the first Polish soldier killed in combat since the aftermath of World War II."

If so - might it be possible that either the civilian figures are disguised; & the soldier deaths thereby "down-regulated"? Isn't it odd that civilian deaths for the imperialists forces are scrupulously secret while , suddenly, the "civilian" forces killed by resistance are revealed? Who are the civilians? If the civilian guerilla fighter swims like a fish amongst the swarms in the sea - to paraphrase Mr. Mao - the modern day imperialist forces have learnt to surround themselves with plenty of other fish.

2) In a previous spot - I asked basically about who are the compradors? I have not heard you folks shouting out the answers.

3) I agree with (I think it was Tahir) who pointed to a divide in the correspondents on this issue, that was not related to the matter of colour. Now he characterized it in a somewhat implicitly derogatory manner as those who support "old-fashioned" centrialised parties - I do not have the exact text words. That was the definite thrust. Maybe that is one characterization. How about one that runs along lines of those who are - & those who are NOT prepared to defend the rights of a resistance to resist? That I would contend is the key division - & it goes beyond colour - on that I would agree with Tahir. Let us find an IDEAL and QUITE EXACT Resistance THAT FITS ALL MORAL standards - ah yes, let us allow that "theoretically" resistance is OK, but ONLY, if it fulfills certain very clear moral and up-standing criteria. We can even write an Encylical on this matter so that no one gets confused.

4) With all the hooh-hah you High Moralists are engaging in, you would have all sided with the moralists outraged about the "unreasonableness" of the resistance in a host of different countries.Does that view of mine make me - oh that Stalinist who eats babies on toast for breakfast? Well, that would certainly fit your mentality & attempts to claim all high ground I suppose. Please let me gift that to you for your next parody.

5) Pace- : "Sorry about the previous post. I was so filled with excitement about this gutsy attack that I hit the send button too fast. These guys are great! That's what those women and children get for collaborating with the enemy! And I can say this because I'm an oppressive white male! Hail Ba'ath!" WHile Mr. larkin may truly not be an "oppressive white male" - he sure is supporting imperial positions from what I can gauge. Poor Mr Larkin must still be trembling with excitement, cos he got his dictator wrong in his call - surely he meant Hail Bush!

6) The fury that Yoshie F has aroused is somewhat telling I think. I will state right now that I do not think that the matter of colour is the predominant matter. But the viciousness of some of this recent stuff that "leftists" are writing is fairly extraodinary. Ah - but 'tis true, whoever said that the Democratic Centralists had any monopoly of sectarian discourse, or extravagant polemics to disguise true intents? Read Mr Pugliese & be warned of the company that social democrats might keep! Hari: PS: Thx Michael Pug for the other citations on agriculture.
