Part of the plotline in Todd Solondz's recent film "Storytelling" deals with the above. Worth a rental, if not a purchase. Solondz is one of the better comic filmmakers currently working. His dialogue is subtle but hilarious, though you usually have to watch his stuff at least twice to appreciate it amid the issues he explores, like the pedophilia in his masterwork (to date), "Happiness." Solondz pulls this off without turning his characters into freaks, like Harmony Korine did in the gruesome "Gummo."
