I have no idea whate color-shade best describes Cleopatra VII's skin, but she had no African (including Egyptian) ancestry whatsoever. Her ancestry was half Ptolemaic--that is, Macedonian, and half Mithridatic (Pontine, the southern coast of the Black Sea).
